ATTOCK: The district administration banned the entry of 70 religious scholars and zakirs of Sunni and Shia sect in the jurisdiction of Attock district for 90 days.
It also issued their gagging orders to ensure peace and maintenance of law and order during the sacred month of Moharram-ul-haram.

KASUR (APP): Secretary Health Punjab has suspended Surgeon Doctor Dhq hospital and principal Nursing School Dhq hospital Kasur under PEEDA act.
According to official sources here Wednesday, the secretary suspended Surgeon Doctor Aamir Saleem and principal Nursing School Tabinda Rani and directed them to report to health department. The secretary, besides suspending them, also ordered to take action against both officers under PEDA
PESHAWAR (INP): Under its ongoing disconnection and recovery campaign, Peshawar Electricity Supply Company (Pesco) Dargai-I sub-division has disconnected power supply to Shewari and Ajab Khan Kili from 100 KVA transformer and 50 KVA transformers due to non payment of dues of millions of rupees.
During disconnection of power supply Pesco/Police officials faced severe resistance not to remove the transformers from the site by the inhabitants of the area but Pesco officials succeeded to shift
LAHORE (Online): The patients infected with dengue are on a rise in Punjab. 43 individuals have been infected with dengue in the past 24 hours. 27 individuals got infected with the dengue virus in Lahore itself.

RAWALPINDI (Online): Unannounced gas load shedding in the populated residential areas of the city has increased the miseries of people as the winter season arrived.
Load shedding has started in the populated areas of Sadiqabad including Khurram Colony, Muslim town and serves road, residents of these areas are deprived of from gas facility in the days when CNG stations are open.
Gas is supplied in the days when CNG stations of the area are closed, but with very low pressure.

KARACHI: To enhance the capacity of Sindh police in regard to investigation and forensic, a ten-day workshop on “crime scene investigation and forensic science” was conducted here at local hotel in Karachi. The workshop was attended by twenty teachers belonging to different police training centres in Sindh.

CDA to organise environment awareness walk today
ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA), in collaboration with the SKANS School of Accountancy, will organise an awareness campaign for using pedestrian overhead bridges and conservation of environment. For this purpose, a public walk will be held today (Thursday).
