LAHORE College for Women University (LCWU) has won the first All Pakistan Persian Olympiad. The contest was arranged by Iran Cultural Centre Lahore and teams from different colleges and universities across the country participated in the contest. Written as well as oral tests were given to the participants to check their abilities in Persian language and literature. The University of Karachi (KU) on Monday started the facility of issuing migration forms online for private students. A notification issued on Monday said candidates could access the form at the web-portal of the university. Meanwhile, the date of the submission of registration forms of MA and for improvement of division 2010 had been extended to facilitate the candidates, KU Registrar Prof M Kaleem Raza Khan said. The Defence Housing Authority (DHA) has said that it had installed 120 modern security cameras at all entry and exit points of the DHA for round-the-clock electronic surveillance of important spots of the posh neighborhood of the city.
The Administrator, DHA, Brigadier Aamir Raza Qureshi, disclosed this to a delegation of the Association of Defence Residents (ADR) who held the meeting with the former on civic-related issues of the Defence residents.

The gradate and undergraduate engineers of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) have joined hands to block direct induction of Project Directors (PDs) in BPS-18 saying it would affect seniority of officers of the engineering wing who have been holding current charge of deputy director for the last many years.
The CDA sources said that the graduate engineers and diploma holders have also decided to settle their long-standing dispute over quota in promotion, out of the court.
