Bill wins autonomy for University of Peshawar
PESHAWAR: The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Assembly approved the University of Peshawar (UoP) Amended Bill, 2011 which demands administrative and financial autonomy for the UoP to raise its standards of teaching, training and research.

School blown up in Nowshera
NOWSHERA: Suspected militants blew up a government school in Ziarat Kaka Sahib in Nowshera district on Friday morning, police sources said. The sources said the militants had planted explosives on the premises of the Government Primary School for Boys in Shahabkhel and triggered a blast that caused a fire. The explosion destroyed some portion of the school building but the ensuing fire reduced the entire structure to ashes. No loss of life
